The Block 2020

The Block 2020

One of the most anticipated questions leading up to The Block 2020: Whereabouts is the site located?!

We can reveal a 2761-square metre pocket of land in Brighton is where season 16 contestants will battle it out to design and refurbish five homes that are themed throughout the 1910’s 20’ 30’s 40’s and 50’s! Producers unveiled the curtain to The Block location for 2020 by releasing an empty ‘block of land’ photo to social media causing a fan frenzy of questions and rumours until finally confirming Season 16 would be filmed in Brighton.

Being one of Melbourne’s elite eastern bayside suburbs, Brighton boasts gorgeous surrounding beaches along with an affluent culture of fine dining and boutique cafes. Unfortunately for the hardworking contestants, they’ll be experiencing absolutely none of the luxuries Brighton has to offer!

  • Unlike Brighton’s modernistic surroundings, The Block 2020 will be taking viewers on a trip through time by renovating houses from five different decades in an epic transformation reveal.

Bringing these derelict houses back to the 21st century will be no easy feat as teams add a second story, design multiple bedrooms and bathrooms along with a huge new living area and sizable outdoor space. Although it is unclear which interior design direction teams will take, this year’s edition of The Block is sure to be one of the most demanding yet!
