WHAT IS THE TUBIGRIP TUBULAR COMPRESSION BANDAGE?

Tube-shaped Tubigrip provides lasting, effective tissue support with complete freedom of movement, ;in the treatment of strains and sprains, soft tissue injuries, general oedema, post-burn scarring and rib cage injuries.

Tubigrip is made of cotton stockinette with embedded covered elastic threads.

It can also be used for pressure dressings and arm fixation, it distributes pressure evenly over the surface.

Featured in a full range of sizes, Tubigrip Compression Bandage is easy to apply and re-apply, as it requires no pins or tape. It is also washable and reusable.

Tubigrip is available in two colours- white and beige as indicated under the section ' Tubigrib Sizes Chart ' below, e.g. Size A (white), the available colour for size A tubigrip is white colour only.

WHEN CAN I USE THE TUBIGRIP TUBULAR COMPRESSION BANDAGE? ;

It can be used for the treatment of:

  • strains and sprains
  • soft tissue injuries
  • general oedema
  • post-burn scarring
  • ribcage injuries.

How does it work? ; ;

Calculate using the flat width to estimate the size needed. Measure circumference of the widest part of the area needing compression, divide measurement in half and select the size closest to the measurement.

  • Cut Tubigrip to twice the length required for limb, allowing an extra 2–3cm for overlap.
  • Pull Tubigrip onto limb like a stocking.
  • Double Tubigrip back over the limb. Ensure upper edge is taken 2–3cm higher up the limb than the first. Always use as a double layer. ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ;
