Twenty-five-year-old ritual abuse survivor, Melissa Eastman, is a forensic psychologist for the FBI. She’s brought in by the sheriff of Montrose, a suburb just north of LA, to catch The Pedagogue, the leader of a cult of serial killers preying on young women with mental health issues that they find, lure, and stalk by use of hashtags on Instagram. When The Pedagogue kidnaps Orchid, a 19-year-old girl from Indiana, Eastman and Silver must race to not only save her from her death-- but from The Pedagogue’s ascendance to something far greater than a cult leader.
