Presented first are the Sonny Rollins sides recorded on November 4, 1957 and featuring Jimmy Cleveland (trombone) Sonny Rollins (tenor sax) Gil Coggins (piano) Wendell Marshall (bass) and Kenny Dennis (drums). The tunes are "Sonnymoon for Two, " "Like Someone in Love" and "Theme from Tchaikovsky's Symphony Pathetique." the Thad Jones selections "Lust for Life" and "I Got It Thad, " were recorded on December 24, 1956 and feature Thad Jones (trumpet) Frank Foster (tenor sax) Jimmy Jones (piano) Doug Watkins (bass) and Jo Jones (drums).
