Seventh Wave Things To Come Remastered Cd

Seventh Wave's debut Things to Come showed keyboardist Ken Elliott to be the duo's greatest strength and weakness, for while his synth work defines the album's futuristic sound, his singing -- as on strangled vocal cords of "Fail to See" -- lacks the sophistication (or willful obscurity, if you prefer) that usually accompanied progressive keyboard work of this era. Fortunately, ten of the fourteen tracks are instrumental, ranging from the moody elegy of "Smog, Fog and Sunset" to the bright bells and chimes of the aptly upbeat "Festival."

Despite the wide array of instrumentation listed for the album, the overwhelming emphasis is on Moog and ARP synthesizers.
