Works Well
I needed a salt shaker for the stove area and this met all of my needs. It's smaller than commercial size means it fits in the cabinet easily or you could leave it out as it is attractive. The three different hole sizes are great! The large I use for adding salt to pasta water and the others for adding to recipes and completed food

For Kosher Salt
This shaker to use for Kosher salt. I use Kosher salt for tenderizing meat. With this salt you have to be careful not to put too much salt on the meat, but enough so that it will break down the connective tissue and tenderize the meat. Since the grains are larger for Kosher salt than for regular salt, I needed a shaker that I could adjust the size to make larger holes--this worked perfectly. And I like that you can completely close the top to the shaker so that no salt is exposed when you are not using it--this will prevent the salt from caking together
