Rapid is the approach shoe designed for moving fast on mountain terrain. Ideal for technical trails, when approaching the climbing wall, easy to attach to the harness and performing well on steep and fast descents.

Breathable Mesh Upper The Scarpa Rapid Walking Shoe has been built using a technical mesh upper, with external TPU cage heat-sealed side support film, for extreme breathability and durability. Micro perforations in the mesh allow heat and vapour to escape, as well as any moisture built up from within the shoe. These pores transport it all to the outside of the shoe where it can dissipate, and dry quickly, keeping your feet feeling cool, dry and fresh. These perforations also work to allow cool, fresh air into the shoe, where it can then circulate. This airflow helps your feet to breathe and avoids uncomfortable sweaty sensations. The sock-like fit of this upper grips the foot firmly but gently for a comfortable feel that puts you totally in control. The precise fit of the internal Sock-Fit LW construction system avoids compression points whilst wrapping the foot to ensure greater lateral stability. An external TPU cage provides protection against abrasion for long-lasting wear that won't let you down. Anti-pressure and anti-impact mesh on the collar and tongue ensure durability and protection in sensitive areas.

EVA Midsole An EVA midsole provides shock absorption, protecting joints and muscles from strain and stress, and that damage they can cause. By cushioning against this shock, the risk of injury is reduced so you can go further than before in complete comfort. EVA also works to provide springy rebounds, compressing under each step and springing back into shape, utilising the energy from your last step to power you into your next one.
