Curator Germano Celant presents thelargest exhibition in Europe of works by American artist, RichardArtschwager (1923-2013), commencing Italy, then in Spain.

Turningto the understanding of space, everyday objects and perception, thepoetics of Artschwager has established itself as a unicum in the art ofthe 20th century. His works deal with the representation of utilitarianinstruments reproduced with industrial materials such as formica, celotex, acrylic painting, aluminum.

To these fundamental aspectsis added the attention to pure geometric form and pictorial illusionism, resulting in paintings and sculptures that suspend the categories ofthe image and objects in a limbo between the space they physicallyoccupy, the usefulness they refer to and their artistic representation.
