Postage Stamp - 1/100 B-25J Mitchell “Briefing Time”\n

The B-25 was a two-engine medium bomber with H-tail, named after General Billy Mitchell, father of the US Air Force. It was considered a safe and reliable aircraft, and was used extensively in World War II, especially in the Pacific theatre. The B-25J included additional armaments, modified nose, and heavier fuselage panels, and was by far the most popular of the B-25 range.

\nThis model is a replica of the B-25J nicknamed “Briefing Time” used by the 340th Bomb Wing in the Italian campaign. The ship logo on its nose refers to the plane’s role in the sinking of an Italian cruiser. “Briefing Time” was donated to the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in PA, US, where it was restored to airworthy condition.

\nThis diecast metal airplane model comes in 1:100 scale with plastic stand and is approximately 6 1/4 inches (15.9cm) long with an 8 inch (20.3cm) wingspan.
