Nautiloid Chambered Orthoceras Sculpture

These hand carved sculptures display Orthoceras fossilised down several chambers. The height and hand-carved shape of the sculpture, along with number of fossils preserved inside, make this a eye-catchingly stunning display. A must have for any fossil collection.

Orthoceras are a genius of extinct nautiloid cephalopod dating back to approximately 380 million years ago. Nautiloids are a large and diverse group of marine cephalopods (Mollusca) belonging to the subclass Nautiloidea that began in the Late Cambrian and are represented today by the living Nautilus and Allonautilus.

Nautiloid Chambered Orthoceras Sculptures are approximately 30cm tall and 10cm in diameter. Sizes and shapes may vary.
