The Johann's Garden has, over the years, become a refined rendition of this much-loved blend. In 2022, it is 79% grenache and 21% mataro, grown in the Barossa Valley. It's awash with ripe raspberry, wild strawberry and red cherry tones, dotted with fine spice, rosehip, rust, vanilla bean, ginger cake, earth and violets. Graceful and nicely poised with pristine raspberry and red fruit notes, fine, lacy acidity and a real sense of detailed and considered regional architecture.

APPEARANCE
Medium garnet with garnet hues.

AROMA
Vibrant aromas of raspberry compote, red currant, plum and black cherry, with a subtle pink grapefruit lift, crushed flowering herbs, white pepper and hints of anise and mace.

PALATE
The palate is juicy and plush, with red currant, spiced cherry and plum carried by mature, velvety tannins and well balanced acidity providing length and freshness.
