Farley Parkenfarker is the alias of keyboardist Okie Duke, best known for his hit 1978 recording presented here entitled "Farley Parkenfarker Plays Elvis," which he performed on a highly modified Hammond B-3 organ featuring built in phase effects and a custom reed system, which allowed Parkenfarker to play up to 15 different keyboards or synthesizers directly from his modified organ. Duke became involved with the Roland keyboard company and his ideas became integrated into many Roland products which have become staples in recording and performing environments. On "Farley Parkenfarker Plays Elvis," Mr. Duke plays all keyboards, horns and guitar and is assisted by Dave Morby on drums throughout. Bassist Dave Mitchell plays on the last track. All selections newly re-mastered.
