Dream Fourteen by Julian Simmons
*Dream Fourteen* is the second collaboration of prints by Julian Simmons and Sarah Lucas to be exhibited at the Paul Stolper Gallery. The first body of work, *HOOLIAN* 2015, consisted primarily of Simmons' prints of Lucas' sculptures, charting their genesis to the finished work. *Dream Fourteen* develops their collaborative experience, whereby Simmons photographed in situ, Lucas' *Muses*, the set of portrait sculptures which she exhibited in the British Pavilion, 56th Venice International Art Biennale, Venice (2015). Simmons crops and re-composes the space surrounding the sculptures, filling the space with colour, a yellowy colour that references real things, custard, ice-cream, eggs, banana, sunshine, the same colour Lucas painted the interior Pavilion walls. As such the prints act as the photographic counterpoint to Lucas' practice. There are 14 prints in the series, and each has typically honest, descriptive Sarah Lucas title, for example: *Yoko Smoking Through Her Belly-Button (Low)*, *A Very Stately Pauline* and *My Bum on the Bar Stool*.
