As DEA Special Agent Jake Kelly (Hammer) works to take down two cartels' drug smuggling operations, grieving former addict Claire Reimann (Lilly) takes it upon herself to investigate the cause of her teenage son's death. Meanwhile, research scientist Dr Tyrone Brower (Oldman) discovers startling results while studying a pharmaceutical company's new non-addictive painkiller. The cast also includes Greg Kinnear, Michelle Rodriguez and Luke Evans.
