- Non-recommended surfaces: Brick wall (not sufficiently flat), stone wall (not sufficiently flat), unfinished wall such as plasterboard or plaster (this requires primer paint first), stucco wall (not sufficiently flat), unpainted plywood (paint with primer before installing tiles) and oily wall
