Tasting Notes:
Nose: On the nose, rich notes of sweet stewed fruit and blueberry jam are complemented by soft liquorice, a dusting of cinnamon and aromatic marzipan.
Palate: Intensely sweet with flavours of juicy prunes, treacle toffee and dark chocolate rounded off perfectly with caramelised figs.
Finish: Long, dry and slightly spicy.
"Cherry pound cake, ground almond, and light vanilla, with delicious layers of sherryand top notes of acacia honey on the nose. Surprisingly nimble on the palate, withapple, waves of sherry, black cherry jelly, and a gentle buildup of spice, then caramel, dark sugar, vanilla, and red apple in later phases, though it is still light on its feet. A smooth clean finish propels more vigorous spice notes across the palate." - Jonny McCormick, Whisky Advocate (90 Points)
